Hi, I’m Abiola!
So excited that you’re here. Are you ready to finally truly answer your calling and take your vision to the next level?
Welcome home. If you have a big, bold, inspired life calling, then you are in the right place. What is a calling? Having a calling means that you have a message or a mission. My purpose and passion is to help you to activate that mission. I provide soulcare, sacred strategy, intuitive empowerment, and vision birthing for Big Vision Women.
Here, we think outside the cubicle. If you are a committed naysayer, happy with the status quo, have non-visionary aspirations, or have already fulfilled your potential, then I am not the coach for you.
I am known as “The Midwife for Your Inspired Life.” That means that I empower Women With An Inspired Calling to step into their greatness and stop playing small so that they can birth the magic to change their corner of the world. Yeah! How do I do this? I help you dissolve everything that blocks your vision. Together, we slay the dragons, dissolve your fears, remove the barriers, and leap over all of the blocks so that you can answer your calling and change the world. The biggest barrier to you doing what you came to do is you.
That’s right – by loving yourself and changing your life you change the world.
My job is to help extraordinary women create outrageous joy and realize their juiciest lives as an empowerment coach, award-winning writer, media personality, and transformational speaker. My “beat” is: self-worth and self-esteem via healing feminine power, self-love, and your mind-body-spirit.
For the past 15 years my work has been about women getting to be who we really are. I came to this planet to share the secrets of living with more verve and positive energy than we ever thought possible. This is what my latest book, “The Sacred Bombshell Handbook of Self-Love” is about. Masks off. No more holding back. Let’s do it. Life is not meant to be a passive experience. It’s a passionate experience! If you were looking for a sign THIS IS IT.
I am here for you. Please get in touch.

Frequently Answered Questions:
HOMETOWN: New York City born Goddess of Guyanese Parentage.
NAME: I love my name — but that wasn’t always the case. Abiola is a Nigerian Yoruba name meaning joy, born on the first or born into wealth depending on who you ask. It is a very common name in my parents’ country, Guyana, South America. Both of my parents claimed to have named me. There are at least 5 people in the United States also named “Abiola Abrams.”
FAMILY HISTORY: I am a fourth generation empowerment specialist. My great-grandmother was a midwife and women’s fertility healer. My mother is a Shakespeare-quoting ex-schoolteacher. Her aunt who raised her ran a de facto Bed and Breakfast known locally as “The White House.” My father is a journalist, minister and Ivy League grad. My sister is brilliant visual artist Damali Abrams and my brother is a professional tech genius. Both of my grandfathers were hard-working farmers with my amazing grandmothers making it work at home. Like “Ma,” my great-granny, I help women give birth to themselves. I stand on the majestic shoulders of all those who came before.
MY FAVORITE PROJECTS: Helping women to give birth to their visions is my passion. I have been blessed to create and participate in amazing work but my faves include: my new advice guide “The Sacred Bombshell Handbook of Self-Love,” African Goddess Affirmation Cards, Self-Love Meditation album, my debut novel “Dare: A Love Story;” my award-winning documentary “Knives in My Throat;” my BET Show “The Best Short Film Competition;” coaching on the MTV show “Made,” and of course, my Essence Magazine advice columns.
FAVORITE CAUSE: Depending on availability, I offer bombshell breakthrough coaching scholarships for female veterans of the Iraqi wars. I also am an advocate of Eve Ensler’s VDay movement which aims to stop violence against women and girls worldwide.
COACHING METHODOLOGY: My unique Sacred Breakthrough Coaching 9-step process is based on tapping into feminine power with life-changing healing modalities including: life mapping, guided meditation and visualization, emotional freedom technique, art therapy tools, cognitive behavioral work, spiritual support, and neuro-linguistic work..
EDUCATION: My undergrad degree is from Sarah Lawrence College where I studied sociology (and writing) and I have an Master’s Degree from Vermont College of Fine Arts. I received my life coach certification from the American University of Neuro-Linguistic Programming.
PERSONAL BACKGROUND: After a 10 year relationship and a dream wedding, I learned the man I thought was my soulmate no longer wanted a monogamous relationship with me. I was recreating familial patterns of anxiety and infidelity. Anxiety and self-loathing manifested for me in several forms including people pleasing and disordered eating that started in my childhood when my family and I were bullied for not being “real Americans.” The cure for living a stunted half-life was to learn how to release suffering and choose to live as who I really am.
GUILTY PLEASURES: I indulge in all of the juicy joy that life has to offer. For example, I am an 80/20 vegan. That means that I eat completely clean 80% of the time and the other 20% I eat whatever vegetarian treats I want. The goal is to never feel guilt or shame for any of your choices. Yay!
